Anne Nemec is the owner of Baker City Float Center. After learning about the many benefits to come from floating, Anne knew she needed to find a way to offer it as a service to the community.

Floating:

-decreases stress, anxiety and depression

-lowers blood pressure, and improves oxygen circulation in the body

-helps improve sleep

-decreases pain and stiffness - helps with chronic pain, migraines, arthritis, fibromyalgia, and joint pain

-increases concentration & focus & helps boost creativity

-improves athletic performance - athletes note a faster recovery after exercise and cumulative benefits with consistent floating

-releases endorphins & promotes an overall feeling of relaxation

Floating offers a unique opportunity to pause from the overstimulated world allowing your mind and body to unwind and recharge in the absence of gravity, touch, sight, and sound.

As you enter this serene space, you will be enveloped by the concept of R.E.S.T. (Restricted Environmental Stimulation Therapy), recognized in academic research communities as a powerful therapeutic technique.

Within the float cabin, you will be fully supported, requiring no physical effort to stay afloat. The water, set at a constant temperature of approximately 95 degrees, initially feels warm, but soon becomes barely perceptible, blending seamlessly with your body. Should you choose to embrace complete darkness, the absence of visual stimuli allows your eyes to rest in a comforting state of darkness, whether open or closed. To ensure an uninterrupted experience, external sounds are minimized through meticulous soundproofing measures throughout the float room. We provide earplugs and design our tanks to further enhance the peacefulness of your session. This immersive environment allows you to truly REST, disconnecting from the outside world and entering a state of deep mental and physical relaxation.

Floating gives the gift of rejuvenation and renewed perspective.

After just one session, you will emerge refreshed, revitalized, and ready to face the world with newfound energy and clarity.

It is Jennifer’s passion and honor to help people live life to their fullest potential and she is dedicated to helping her clients reach their goals as quickly and easily as possible. She welcomes clients of all ages and from all walks of life dealing with issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, life-transitions, grief and loss, addictions, chronic pain, and many other challenges. Through deep listening, intuition, experience, and compassion Jennifer provides a friendly, safe, open-minded, and comfortable therapeutic space for her clients to share their stories and struggles in confidence. She enjoys collaborating with her clients as they uncover the limiting beliefs that have kept them stuck in their current state of dis-ease, and replace them with new positive beliefs that are in line with the life they truly want and deserve.

Jennifer’s life was initially impacted by hypnosis when she was in grade school and both of her parents quit their 20+ year cigarette smoking habit after only a single session with a hypnotist. It was years later that Jennifer fully realized the incredible power of hypnosis for herself as she joyfully welcomed her second child into the world, after experiencing 12 hours of pain-free labor, 100% naturally through the use of self-hypnosis!

Jennifer knows just how difficult behavior change can be, yet she is eager to make her services accessible to those interested in an integrative and holistic approach to their health. Jennifer has studied with a 5th generation Shaman in the Amazon rainforest of Peru (2018). In her free time, she enjoys being out in nature and exploring the beautiful Pacific Northwest through hiking, backpacking, foraging, and gardening.

LMT

A Well-Kneaded Massage

Kim is not accepting new clients at this time.

We do have contact information for other massage therapists in our community. If you want to stop in or give us call, we’re happy to share our contacts.

There’s a Chinese saying: “If you want happiness for a lifetime, help somebody.” Kimberly Jonas loves that she gets to help people every day with the work she does.

As early as 16 years old, Kim knew she wanted to be a massage therapist. After a car accident, she tried many things to help with chronic pain and soon found massage was the only therapeutic technique to help her feel better. Not even surgery, physical therapy, or muscle relaxers provided the same results.

Kim has been a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) for 20 years now. Originally from Baker County, she was born in Medical Springs where she recently returned to after living in Baker City for 15 years. She’s been married for 18 years to her husband, Corey, and has two kids, Logan (11) and Clara (7). In her free time, Kim loves to hike, read, do arts and crafts, crochet, and grow beautiful plants.
